Een van de eerste artikels die ik op Served By Soberon publiceerde was er eentje rond de vorige editie van ‘Tournée Minérale’. Tournée Minérale is een initiatief in samenwerking met ‘Stichting Tegen Kanker‘ en ‘De Druglijn‘ om in Februari geen alcohol te drinken en daarmee (onder andere) het bewustzijn rond onze alcoholconsumptie te verhogen. Ik was toen nog maar een kleine maand bezig met mixology en besefte maar al te goed dat het aanbod aan alcoholvrije cocktails veel kleiner, minder geïnspireerd en minder uitdagend was dan het aanbod gewone cocktails.
Dit jaar wilde ik me toewijden om een serieus aanbod van alcoholvrije cocktails te maken. Em om op deze manier iedereen, die om welke reden dan ook geen alcohol drinkt, te inspireren. Onderaan dit artikel vind je niet minder dan TWINTIG originele recepten waarbij je geen alcohol nodig hebt én die ook geen flauw afkooksel zijn van een bestaande cocktail, ‘maar dan zonder drank’.
Verder wil ik graag Nicolas van 3/4 oz. Tonic Maison, Lou van Seedlip en Debby van Diamonds & Pearls bedanken om mij te voorzien van samples van hun producten. Mara en Parlez om me uit te nodigen op het Lipton Mocktail evenement en Hannah Van Ongevalle voor haar inspirerende woorden daar.

One of the first articles I ever published on ‘Served By Soberon‘, was about the previous edition of ‘Tournée Minérale’, an initiative in cooperation with the ‘Stichting Tegen Kanker’ and ‘De Druglijn’ to raise awareness about alcohol consumption. Challenging all Belgian people to abstain from drinking alcohol in February. I was immediately very aware that the range of alcoholfree cocktails was a lot smaller and less inspired than the offer of regular cocktails .
This year I wanted to take it to the next step, offer a full range of drinks to inspire those who, for whatever reason, don’t drink. Whether it’s for ‘Tournée Minérale’ or not, in this blog you will find no less than TWENTY delicious, well balanced ‘mocktails’ with a wide range of products easily available for everyone.
I’d like to thank Nicolas of 3/4 oz. Tonic Maison, Lou of Seedlip and Debby of Diamonds & Pearls for providing me with samples of their products. Mara and Parlez for inviting me to the Lipton Mocktail Event and Hannah Van Ongevalle for sharing her inspiring words there.

And now… The recipes!
LET’S NEVER SAY GOODBYE
– 20ml Blood Orange Juice
– 5ml Homemade Rosemary Syrup
– Gran Baron 0,0%
Build all in a pre chilled coupe.
HARVESTER OF SOULS
– 50ml Seedlip Garden
– 30ml blood orange juice
– 15ml lime juice syrup
– 15ml Agave syrup
– 1 eggwhite
Shake all ingredients with 1 ice cube for 30 seconds.
Shake with more ice for 12-15.
Double strain in pre chilled coupe.
GINGER AND MINT FIZZ
– 100ml Soda
– 5-10ml lime juice
– Ginger
– Mint
Muddle mint and ginger with lime juice in your glass.
Add ice and soda. Stir slowly to combine.
Garnish with more ginger and mint.
GRAPEFRUIT BOOST
– 50ml Pink Grapefruit Juice
– 25ml Spritz Syrup
– 10ml lemon juice
– 75ml Tonic of your choice
Build in glass with ice.
Stir to combine.
Garnish with grapefruit and thyme.
NOT JUST ANOTHER SEEDLIP&TONIC
– 50ml Seedlip Spice
– 25ml Tonic Syrup (3/4 OZ)
– 90ml Soda
Build over ice.
Stir to combine.
Garnish with fresh mint and cardamom
SEEDLIP PERFECT SERVES
(LEFT)
– 50ml Seedlip Spice
– 100-150ml Fever Tree Aromatic
Build over ice.
Garnish with pink grapefruit twist.
(RIGHT)
– 50ml Seedlip Garden
– 100-150ml Fever Tree Elderflower
Build over ice.
Garnish with peas.
GARDEN OF PASSION
– 50ml Seedlip Garden
– 20ml Honey Sour Syrup (3/4 OZ)
– 30ml Passion Fruit
– Light Tonic
– Mint leaves
Muddle some mint in the bottom of your shaker.
Add all but tonic and shake with ice for 12-15 seconds.
Strain over ice, top with tonic and garnish with mint.
ELIXIR OF LIFE
– 20ml Swedish Tonic Syrup
– 90ml Soda
– 2 blackberries
– 5 blueberries
Muddle berries with tonic syrup.
Add crushed ice and soda, gently stir.
Add more crushed ice and garnish accordingly.
MORNINGS IN SPRING
– 20ml Elderflower Syrup (Monin)
– 20ml Fresh Lime Juice
– Fresh mint and raspberries
– Tonic
Build all but tonic in a Copa glass with plenty of ice.
Stir to combine and top with tonic.
Garnish with more mint.
BEAUTIFUL DAYS AHEAD
– 60ml Ice Tea Green
– 30ml Coconut Milk
– 20ml Homemade Sesame syrup (or use simple syrup)
– 30ml Lime Juice
– 2 Strawberries
Muddle strawberries in shaker tin, add all the other ingredients.
Shake for 12-15 seconds.
Double strain over ice and garnish with a strawberry.
SPICE UP MY LIFE
– 40ml Seedlip Spice
– 25ml Lime Juice
– Handful Red Basil
– 150ml Schweppes Orange Blossom and Lavender
Shake all but tonic with lots of ice for 12-15 seconds
Strain in an ice filled glass.
Garnish with more red basil.
NIGHTS WITH YOU
– 5 raspberries
– 30ml eggwhite
– 30ml lime juice
– 30ml Spritz syrup
– Soda
Shake all ingredients but soda with 1 ice cube for 30 seconds.
Shake with more ice for 12-15.
Double strain in coupe and add Soda.
I’D CATCH A GRENADE FOR YOU
– 40ml orange juice
– 30ml pink grapefruit juice
– 20ml lemon juice
– 25ml Homemade grenadine
Add everything in a glass filled with ice.
Stir to combine.
DESIGNATED CAPTAIN
– 20ml lemon juice
– 15ml rum syrup (Monin)
– 120-150ml Indi Ginger Beer
Add everything to a glass filled with ice.
Slowly stir to combine.
Garnish with lime and physalis.
GARDEN SMASH
– Handful basil leaves
– 50ml Seedlip Garden
– 30ml lemon juice
– 20ml simple syrup
– 1 eggwhite
Shake all ingredients with 1 ice cube for 30 seconds.
Shake with more ice for 12-15.
Double strain in coupe and garnish with basil.
BLACK BASIL BAL
– 3 blackberries
– Handful basil leaves
– 30ml lemon juice
– 20ml simple syrup
– 50ml Seedlip Spice
Muddle blackberries and basil in your glass.
Add other ingredients and crushed ice.
Stir till combined, add more crushed ice and garnish accordingly.
TRUE BLOOD
– 80ml Crodino Rosso
– 20ml lime juice
– 80ml Gran Baron 0,0%
Build in pre-chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with a blood orange wedge.
CHERRY COLA 2.0*
– 20ml Cola Syrup (3/4 OZ)
– 15ml Cherry Syrup (Monin)
– 10ml Lemon Juice
– Soda
Add all ingredients but soda to an ice filled-glass.
Stir to combine and add Soda.
Garnish with a lemon wedge.
*Turn into a cocktail by using Cherry Heering and a shot of Rum
SPICE 75
– 30ml Seedlip Spice
– 20ml Lemon Juice
– 10ml Simple Syrup
– Gran Baron 0,0%
Shake all but Gran Baron with ice for 12-15 seconds.
Strain in a coupe and add Gran Baron.
Garnish with lemon zest.
AMAROCANO
– 30ml Bitter syrup (Monin)
– 30ml Spritz Syrup (3/4 OZ)
– 30ml Empiria Amaro Genzianella
– 30ml Soda
Shake first three ingredients with lots of ice for 12-15 seconds.
Strain in coupe, add soda.
Garnish with orange zest.
